Scrap Cars & End of Life Vehicles

B. Allsop & Sons Ltd has worked in conjunction with our sister company (Glen Barry Ltd) to become a licensed Environmental Agency Authorised Treatment Facility (ATF), ensuring that the de-pollution operations prior to dismantling, recycling or disposal of all scrap cars and End of Life Vehicles (ELV) brought to the site, are completed to the very highest environmental standards.

Once a vehicle has reached the end of it life and needs to be disposed of, it is requirement of ELV regulations that it is de-polluted and dismantled. The last holder of the vehicle is then issued with a D.V.L.A Certificate of Destruction (COD). This work can only be carried out, and the certificate issued, by an Authorised Treatment Facility (ATF). Once this is done, the vehicle is then de-registered by the D.V.L.A.

We are proud to be contracted to recycle vehicles for the Rushcliffe Borough Council and other Local Authorities in the Midlands. We are committed to continually improving our ELV facilities to maximise recycling operations whilst minimising harmful pollutants affecting the environment.
